WELLNESS & SPA OPERATOR BASIC LEVEL

The course for Wellness & SPA Operator organized by ANPA aims to train a professional figure with advanced skills, equipped with the skills and the technical knowledges and professional methodology required to be a Wellness & SPA Operator in beauty salons, hotels and hotel chains with SPA centers, fitness centers, beauty farms, SPA .... and in which there is a beautician, a doctor or a physiotherapist, or to start a free entrepreneurial business and work on his own in the wellness industry. This particular industry continues, at the international level, to grow and that is a rich employment opportunities environment. The Course for Wellness & SPA Operator is mainly practical and oriented to teach all the sequences and the protocols to execute the most important Western massage methods, and the SPA, fitness centers most requested massages. Through the massage techniques, the course will also offer to the students the methods to act on the customers physical, mental and emotional plan (relaxation techniques), instruments of particular importance to enhance the customer loyalty and the personalization of the offered services. The holistic section of the course will be very important and will let to learn different techniques such as crystal therapy, auricular, naturopathy, Bach flowers, the emotional kinesiology, the iridology, herbal medicine and the aesthetic section that will focus on the cosmetology, on dietetics and nutrition elements, Spa’s machinery, equipment and systems for aesthetics...

The course will also focus on the regulation of the Spa and Wellness field, knowledge of psychology, sports applied to wellness techniques, in marketing and sales, customer communication, concepts relating to the design and management of the resort. The Wellness & SPA Operator is therefore an important and sought profession in the international wellness market.
The training, mainly technical and entrusted only to Spa Managers and Spa & Wellness consultants, is addressed to young and senior, italians and foreigners, who already have a diploma or a qualification of Esthetician and it will permit to achieve a Professional Qualification Certificate as "Wellness & SPA Operator" worldwide recognized. The course, which enjoys the patronage of the following Professional Associations, ADA Lazio, AIRA, AICR, SKAL International, is divided into a first theoretical/practical full immersion training step of 48 hours spread over a period of one month, with the possibility to carry out a subsequent internship step, subject to the availability of the hosting companies, from 1 to 6 months in National and International hotel facilities, beauty farms and SPAs: in this way we speed up the contact between the students and the Wellness industry through a concrete experimentation on the field of the skills acquired during the training.

INTERNSHIP Available for students in possession of the requirements of Article. 18, paragraph 1, letter d of Law 196/1997 and art. 11 of Law Decree 138/2011. For the activation of the stage is required the payment of € 150.00 + VAT 22% to ANPA, only upon the checking of the compliance of the legislative internship requirements. This fee covers the training period from 1 to 6 months just in a single firm. If the student intends to carry out the training period in many structures, for each subsequent activation of internship it is required to pay the sum of € 150.00 + VAT 22%.

• History of thermalism and history of the main SPAs in Italy and in Europe: legislation of the SPA resorts

• Water and mud: their effects

• The equipment of SPA: saunas, steam rooms, solarium, massage, color therapy, steam bath, laconium, steam bath, whirlpool, experience and tropical showers

• From the baths to the SPA: the main Wellness methods (the hay, the Keipp method)

• The New concept of wellness: the main entertainment and movement activities

• Western massage Techniques and Methods: Lomi massage, massage with bags and hot stone, entomological massage, pressure therapy, aromatherapy

• Holistic techniques: crystal therapy, auricular therapy, naturopathy, Bach flowers, emotional kinesiology, iridology, herbal

• Relaxation techniques

• The SPA & Wellness Marketing industry: from the sale of a product to the offer of a service

• Sales techniques and advertising: how to value their own center

• The Organization and the Wellness facility management: organizational management, organization of the services, the selection and the staff recruitment, insurance, law on privacy, security and the relevant regulations, the contracts of the Wellness center

• The design of the wellness center: being able to choose products and equipment suppliers

• Furnitures, materials and colors: the art of the space harmony

• The aesthetics of the spa: functions and use of aesthetics machineries and the role of aesthetic operators
